A rumor on another web site states that Pierce will be awarded the bid on the new engines. Has anyone heard any information regarding this?

I generally check the city web site a couple of times per week. I never did see the pumper bid show up anywhere as awarded, but I've heard from many folks that E-One received the bid based on the fact that they typed "should" instead of "shall" into their proposal (or was that wording the other way around?).
So, like Gregg I'm curious to know when these aluminum wonders will arrive and what model of E-One will they be (i.e. Typhoon, Hurricane, Gentle Breeze....).

O.K., the last I heard the current crop of E-Ones was to arrive by the end of May. Have any of these engines shown up? If not, is there a date when they have been promised?

There was an add-on order for 2 engines that were to be delivered in February. Have these engines arrived?
