Paramedic training today for firefighters BY JENNIFER BAKER | JBAKER@ENQUIRER.COM
DOWNTOWN - More than 20 Cincinnati firefighters will be the first in the department to receive in-house training today from fellow firefighters as paramedics.
Last month, the Cincinnati Fire Department received accreditation by the state to become Ohio's second fully integrated, fire-based educational program.
Now, the department has a training program that will enable it to provide a higher quality of education to more firefighters, and at a reduced cost, fire officials noted. The department also will have more paramedics.
The training begins at 8 a.m. at the fire training center, 700 W. Pete Rose Way
