hey i was just down at the 19s house with the delhi fire explorers to check out lt. kathmans new ladder, while we were there, they got a few runs, i couldnt help but notice that they were beeps instead of bells, as in delhi's, if someone could tell me what or how many beeps dictate who goes on the run, i would be greatly obliged

ciarnielloj21, it kind of depends on who got the runs while you were there, engine truck or ambulance. There is an initial tone for each apparatus. 3 beeps for the ambulance, and warble tones (best way I know to describe it) for the engine and truck. The engines tone is the same one you hear if you listen to the radio of cincinnati dispatch, the same one they use to alert a a company to an ems run. Then there is a higher pitched version of that tone which is the pre-tone for the truck. If it's a steady long tone then it's a fire run, and the warble tone that is the pre-tone for the engine is the same tone for a fire run, only usually lasts a second or 2 longer. confused yet? ;D
