If you’re interested in modern-day CFD apparatus, this will probably qualify as “BIG NEWS”. On June 26, Code 3 Collectibles announced that they are producing a 1/64-scale model an E-One 110’ Aerial Truck marked as CFD Ladder 20. I, along with several other local collectors, have been working to get a CFD piece done for some time now. For those not familiar with Code 3 Collectibles, here is a brief abstract of the company: www.code3.net/about.asp. I have collected these models for several years and have found their quality to be outstanding. There will be a limited edition of 3,000 pieces made with an expected delivery date of September/October later this year. The list price for non-members will be $64.99. As a club member, I am able to purchase the model at a modest discount of $59.99. For those interested, I am willing to purchase and resell this particular model at the club member price. I’ll even pick up the cost of shipping & handling. The only ‘profit’ (such as it is) that I’ll receive will be a handful of ‘bonus bucks’ I’ll get as part of my Code 3 membership. That’s about it. This piece will be available for non-members directly though Code 3 in a few weeks. However, if you’re interested in purchasing the CFD Ladder at a discount though me, contact me direct at bcjreid@adelphia.net Thanks very much.

Brian, you beat me to it! I'm really please to hear the release. I'm leaving for Los Angeles this coming Saturday with a stop at Code 3. Hopefully Orlando will have some more information to pass on.

The third quarter Code 3 newsletter says Ladder 20 in the article but they have pictures of Ladder 31

Yes, the pics in the newsletter are of L31. I took them about a month ago. I had asked Code 3 if there was a particular company they needed photos of. But with no reply, I simply took photos of the first ladder on the east side that I found in quarters that day. Who knew they'd end up in the newsletter?!
