I spent the first four years of my life in Price Hill. I went to Osage Elementary kindergarten. I was sad to learn that it was destroyed by fire. Since I have very little memory about that time span, does anyone have any pictures of the school, or even more historical info about the school? I would like to share this with my daughter. Thanks

Maybe you are refering to the old Whittier Public School. It was a large brick school that stood on Osage Ave near Woodlawn Ave in Price Hill. It was struck by lightning and burned in the summer of 1958. There are two postcards of the school on the Cincinnati Public Libraries' web site: memory.gclc-lib.org/gclc/ocp/slide/access/ocp000355slide.jpgJune 13, 1958 "Whittier Public School" 3430 Osage Ave Box: 7157 1st Alarm: 8:02pm 3rd Alarm: 8:07pm 1 extra truck: 8:29pm 3 extra co's: 8:39pm Does anyone have memories of this fire that they can share? Any photos?

I think I have a newspaper clipping with photo of that fire in my scrapbook. George has my scrapbook at this time.
