Bob,
That is a brand new one. You are right, it is going to the 51's. I was looking at it yesterday at the 12's and it is very impressive. Many upgrades and new features that should prove to be very useful. The 51's should place it in service sometime next week.

Hi!
Does anyone know how many of the eight have been delivered and what the assignments of them will be? Also, what type of E-One chassis are these built on (Typhoon, Cyclone, Hurricane, Low Pressure Disturbance, etc.)?

Dave Jones and I took a look in the windows of the Municipal Garage early this evening. Two of the new engines are there, one lettered for Engine 51 and another that you couldn't see well enough to tell who it is being assigned to (if there was a number on it at all).
There are a couple of very noticeable changes on these pumpers. The ground ladders are no longer in the hose bed and are carried on the officers side. Also, the lay out of the hose bed is different than on the previous E-Ones as it looks to be taller and not as deep.
I believe they are constructed on Cyclone chassis and unfortunately they still have white roofs... RED Fire Engines Forever!

I drove by the Minicipal Garage Friday afternoon and saw two of the new E-One engines parked outside, lettered for Engines 24 & 31. That would make Engines 24, 31, and 51 with new rigs. Have the other 5 new engines been assigned?
I also saw one of the new Ford ambulances. Sharp. The only suggestion would be to add a little gold striping to the other graphics, then they would really be sharp.

found this on hamilton county proboards web site by mark milliron
For those of you out there that follow this kind of stuff... The following CFD companies will be receiving new E-One pumpers:
Engine-51, Engine-24, Engine-31, Engine-20, Engine-17, Engine-8, Engine-12, Engine-23, Engine-5, & Engine-35.
Reassigned engines will go to:
Engine-7 will receive Engine-35's former 1994 E-One. Engine-18 will receive Engine-23's 1995 E-One. Engine-37 will receive Engine-20's 1996 E-One. Engine-50 will receive Engine-12's 1995 E-One.
Just an FYI...

after reading a reply from zit on hamco forum he said that the order was for eight pumpers with an add on for two more pumpers for a total of 10 so my question is is engine 46 going to get a renumbered apparatus or are they going to stay in the 1990 seagrave or get engine 5 or 37s old pumpers (1992 sutphens)?

Engine 51 placed their new apparatus in service yesterday. You can see a photo at: Engine 51. Now, could someone paint the roof red...

As I was driving by the Municipal Garage today (Friday, Sept 19, 2003), I saw the boys of Engine 24/Unit 2 loading their hose onto their brand new 2003 E-One pumper. Engine 31s new pumper was right next to it, so they will probably be putting their new E-One into service if not today, during the following week.
Peace.

Engines 24 and 31 went into service today with their new apparatus.
One question. does anyone know the sizes of the A & B foam tanks on the new pumpers?
