Did the City of Fort Thomas recently sell a truck to the Blanchester - Marion Twp FD? I was driving through Blanchester last night a saw what I believe to be a mid to late 70's or early 80's Hendrickson chassis (tandem rear axle) with Howe body work. It was a mid-mount ladder which I'm guessing to be 100'.

Fort Thomas placed a new Sutphen mid-mount quint in service a couple of months ago and sold their Hendrickson-Howe. From your description I would imagine that the Blanchester rig is the old Ft. Thomas piece.

The truck has been renumbered as Ladder 80. It's a 1974 Hendrickson/Howe body with a 100' LTI ladder. I also noticed on the pump panel a plate that was labeled for "Phoenix Apparatus, Cincinnati, OH". There's a company here in Goshen called Phoenix Industries that at one time use to build/rebuild apparatus. Their main focus now is storage tanks for fuel and bodies for fuel oil trucks.
