Queen City was a small manufacturer located in the West End after WWII. I'm trying to obtain any information or photos concerning the company. QCFA apparently built 6 rigs before going out of business.
The delivered the following apparatus, all of which were probably 500 gpm pumpers: 1946 Ford Hope, Indiana (Still owned by FD) 1947 IH Montgomery, Ohio (Sold to Goshen, still at Goshen) 1950 Ford Fredericksburg, Ohio (Still owned by FFD) 194X Ford New Trenton, Indiana (Private owner in West Harrison)
The last 2 were reportedly sold in downstate Kentucky. Bardstown may have received one of the rigs and Caneyville may have received the other.
Please, if you have any information, pictures, sales literature, etc. concerning this company, I would like to hear from you!
Thanks!

Steve, Is the '47 IH for Goshen, OH? I'm not aware of such a truck unless it's in private ownership.

I guess that means that the rig isn't stored at the firehouse any longer! Yes, one of the GFD firefighters owns the rig. Unfortunately Goshen painted the rig lime green and it is still that color.

The photo below shows the 1947 IH/Queen City that was operated by the Montgomery Community Fire Company.
