Hey everyone, finally got my web sites up and running: www.cincyfireapparatus.comwww.nkyfireapparatus.homestead.comIf anyone remembers the old cincyfirerigs site that is the direction I'm going, but with more pictures. So the focus is really on the suburban departments and not so much on the CFD. Also, I added some photos of the new Florence E103 to the new deliveries section of the NKY site. This sharp-looking rig is still being outfitted and is not yet in service. Unfortunately the pictures are in-station but it still gives a good idea of how it looks. The engine features full roll-up doors (including pump panel) so it looks the same from either the officer's or the engineer's side. As soon as I get some better (outdoor) shots I will update the photos. Thanks, Tim.

Blue Ash took delivery two weeks ago of a 2007 Pierce 100' rear-mount aerial tower on a custom Dash chassis for Tower 13. The truck is still being readied for service and replaces a 1982 Mack / LTI tower. Personally, I really like the blue over red scheme of Blue Ash and this is a really nice looking truck. Pictures of T13 can be found at www.cincyfireapparatus.com under the new deliveries section and under the Blue Ash department page for station 13. Many thanks also to the firefighters from Blue Ash who took the time to pull the rig out for photography yesterday.

I was just out at the new Sharonville station. I got a nice tour of most of the building and the Apparatus Bays. While I was out there I saw a new ambulance that they are placing in service next week. It was a remount of an old Ford box on a new Chevy frame. It is a sharp looking rig

Wyoming has taken delivery of a new ambulance. It is a ford but I am not sure of the manufacturer. The colors are similiar to the Chicago Fire Department black over red scheme. They are also awaiting delivery of a new ladder and engine

Sycamore's ladder will be here, last I heard, after the first of the year. Possibly March or April, around that time. But we all know how construction and the like goes. They are however already running the ladder company concept. The '93 Rossmoyne quint is sold and gone, and they are running the '98 pre-piped quint as a strictly ladder company. It still has hose and the pump but no water. Hose left on because unfortunately it will have to fill in for either one of the engines if they go down for repair. In which case the ladder duties switch over to R92.

Here are a couple updates from the east side.
Anderson Twp. has put into service a mass casaulty unit. The unit is a tractor trailer design with the tractor being a F-650 series and a rescue style trailer. The unit is housed at Anderson's Station 10. Anderson Twp. has also put into service a number of 2007 Chevy Tahoes for various chiefs within the district.
Central Joint Fire & EMS (Batavia - Clermont County - Station 10) will be placing a new Sutphen 75' quint into service shortly. It is still awaiting driver training and equipment placements.
Union Twp. (Stations 48 & 51) have placed into full service two ALF Rescue Engines. Both engines feature new CAFS capabilities.
That's all for now from the east side.

The truck will be similiar in size to Mason's and Harlan Township's recent deliveries.
- 1750 gpm pump - 750 gal tank - raised roof with seating for 8. - 225" wheelbase, 425" overall length - Roto Ray

Crescent Springs's new aerial is currently at Crux Vinyl in Hebron getting the decals and lettering applied. If you wish to view this new vehicle, they are hosting an open house this Sunday the 22nd from 13:00 to 17:00. The address is 777 Overlook Drive which is right off Buttermilk Pike behind Kremer's Market (red barn). The color of the apparatus is white with gold and blue striping. Interesting fact is that the compartments starting at the pump panel back will be adorn with an American flag decal covering both sides of the apparatus.

Crescent Springs T510 was delivered to the station this evening. Image available at nkyfireapparatus.homestead.com under new deliveries section. Will also have a detail page up shortly on this rig. I was a bit skeptical on the "flag" graphic but was pleasantly surprised - rather sharp-looking rig. You can make your own judgement though...

Kenton County has received a pair of 2007 Ford / Hackney units - one is a Decontamination Trailer and the other is a Mass Casualty Trailer.
If I recall correctly the Decon unit will be based at Erlanger Station 3 and the MCU will be at Fort Mitchell - corrections welcome.
You can view the rigs at nkyfirepparatus.hometead.com under new deliveries.
Will post updated photos once the units have graphics added.
