I'm not certain what it was, or if it's still there. The next time I drive down Langdon Farm I'll try to take a peek to see if they still have it.

Believe it or not...
Edgewater race track in Frog Town (Miami Twp., Ham. Co.) still runs a private ambulance (their own)

In talking with members of Eng. Co. 8, they said that only an Emergency Response van is still on site.

It's been about 10 years since I ran with Miami Twp - Ham. Co., but back then, the "Edgewater Ambulance" was a private contractor who had an ancient and ill-equiped ambulance. It was a pretty shaky operation and they were not a licensed ambulance and couldn't transport. They first responded and Miami Twp did all transports and all signifiicant care.

In talking with a full-time FF with Miami Township, I stand corrected, the ambulance is just a first responder unit...they are supposedly EMT's...

What about Newport Steel? I kinda recall seeing some type of unit at one time that was labeled Newport Steel. It may have been an Ambulance though & not a fire unit.
Also, I have observed a bread-type truck that was labeled Emergency Response at some company around River Rd. & Idaho across River Rd. from the 37's house.

Lawrenceburg Speedway Fire Rescue has at least 1 vehicle. They have a Ford Expedition. It has a nice set of graphics.

Scarlet Oaks fire training program has some fire apparatus. Their newest edition is a 1982 Sutphen pumper 1500 GPM & 500 gallon water tank.

Cincinnati State Fire Service Training Program has a 1972 Mack engine, formerly from Sycamore Twp., and FDNY. They are also planning to purchase another engine in the not-too-distant future.

The pumper that Scarlet Oaks bought was from Delhi Township. It is the first wide body Sutphen ever built. It has the typical rust problems associated with Sutphen, but I have driven this truck and can assure you that it is a hell of a ride!
Scarlet also has a Peter Pirsch from St. Bernard (Diesel), a Pirsch from Cheviot (Gasoline Straight 8) and an aerial from I think maybe Fairfax? The aerial is an American-LaFrance.

In reference to the Scarlet Oaks apparatus: Do you know the year of the Pirsch from St. Bernard? or specs on the aerial? Thanks

Hilton Davis update: Drove past the other day. I do not see the old Yankee ambulance that used to be parked near the gate, just east of the Main entrance.
P&G: I was at P&G's facility up on Center Hill and noticed two vehicles that are part of their Emergency Response Team - both appeared to be black, newer model Ford Econoline vans, both equipped with red lightbars. For what it's worth...
