I'm trying to determine where there were private/industrial/institutional fire departments in Cincinnati and the surrounding area.
Here are the places that I know operated apparatus in the past: Proctor & Gamble at St. Bernard OH Sohio Refinery at Covington KY Wright Aeronautical at Lockland (Same as GE) C G & E = Had at least one rig that was at a power plant. VA Medical Center at Cincinnati VA Medical Center at Fort Thomas KY Army Depot at Sharonville OH Schenley Distillery at Greendale IN Gulf Oil at Hooven OH Lebanon Correctional Center at Monroe OH Latonia Race Course at Covington KY Ford Motor Co at Fairfax OH
Places that still have operating departments: General Electric at Evendale OH Fernald Environmental at Fernald OH Bayer Chemical at Addyston OH AK Steel at Middletown OH Kings Island at Mason OH Kentucky Speedway at Sparta KY Dow Corning Chemical at Carrollton KY Ford Motor at Batavia OH ATO Chemical at Carrollton KY
Places that might have had fire departments. Army Depot on West Seymour Avenue in Carthage. I'm not aware of any US militray facility that didn't have on site protection during WWII so I doubt that the Cincinnati plant would have been an exception.
Longview Hospital on Seymour Avenue. The other Ohio state hospitals had their own apparatus in prior years (some still do) and there was a building on the east end of the hospital grounds that looked like a fire station.
I'm sure that there must have been other in the area. So if you know of any, or can confirm those last 2 listed I sure would like to hear from you!

I can confirm that the old Longview did have an Ambulance unit, but I don't know about fire fighting apparatus.
The Ambulance unit was disbanded and all personnel had to get certified as Police Officers and transfer to their Police Dept.

P&G in St Bernard is a bit interesting and I'm not sure what they run if at all. The engineering company I work for we spend quite a bit of time in the area and here's what I've seen.
The individual facilities around St. Bernard seem to use in house fire brigides with assistance from the St. Bernard Fire Department, but I'm not sure if the Ivorydale complex is CFD or St. Bernard.
I do see several pickup trucks around the area with fire department stickers on the doors, but the equipment looks very thin. No pumps or water on board. They were parked for awhile on Vine Street where Vine and Spring Grove intersect. Haven't seen them there in awhile.
One of the security services had a couple of SUV's equiped as first responder units.
I also travel to some of the P&G plants and one plant in particular uses what is called a crash cart. This cart looks to be about the size of a cart used by the airlines to transport your luggage on. The cart is equiped with turnout gear, SCBA's, hose lengths and tools. They are designed to be towed by folk lifts or other material handling equipment.

P&G's Sharon Woods facility on Reed Hartman has a pickup with equipment that is used by the site fire brigade. I believe it has a small pump.
The ZF Transmission plant in Batavia (formerly Ford) has a fire brigade but no full size apparatus. Batavia covers it with pretty much automatic mutual aid from Owensville and Williamsburg.
River Downs has its own ambulance.
I'm not sure what AK Steel has in Middletown - Middletown Fire has a station right outside their front gate.

Does anyone know the apparatus roster for King's Island or have photos to share?

A few years back Fire Appartatus Journal had featured King's Island along with a few other amusement park fire departments. I will have to do some digging to find the issue.

When Ford operated the plant on Front Wheel Drive, there was a Ford/American LaFrance pumper. Does anyone know what became of this rig?

I see the Hamilton County Fair has outfitted a Chevrolet Crew Cab (looks like mid-80's body style) with a utility body. There's a small gasoline powered pump and a poly tank with what looks like 150 to 250 gallons capacity. It's painted a very interesting lime green color.

ZF is getting ready to dispose of their truck. I spoke with someone on their fire brigade today who said that the truck is over 20 years old and is no longer in working order: the pump is OOS. I don't know if they're going to sell the truck or just junk it.

The Cincinnati Milacron Plant at Afton, OH (between Batavia & Williamsburg) did have a very capable fire brigade that operated with two Cushman vehicles equiped with hose, nozzles, masks, small tools and other appliances and well as foam educting equipment. It has been several years since I have actually seen the rigs and I'm not sure that they meet the criteria closely enough to be put in the same category as the GEs, P&Gs and others. Just thought I'd throw them in the mix though

Kings Island runs several small cushmans as ambulances (they do not transport) Mason does. And they have an early '90's E-one mini pumper.

I spent 10 seasons at Paramount's Kings Island during college and the first few years of my career. 6 years in First Aid, 4 in the Fire Brigade.
The First Aid department runs 3 in-park Cushman squads. All are BLS equipped with AEDs. One is a current model, but the other 2 date back to the mid-70s. In the event that transport is needed to a hospital, Mason is contacted.
As a side note, PKI is one of the few amusement parks that still transports through the park. Most others (Disney, Six Flags) transport via back access roads and walk to the scene from the closest access gates.
The Fire Brigade - Station 55 on the Warren County band - runs a 1978 GMC/E-One (Engine 55) with a 500 gpm pto-driven pump and 250 gal. tank. It's good for car fires and other small jobs. They also have a Ford F-250 utility truck (Rescue 55) for day-to-day use. In the event of a larger incident - actually, an infrequent occurence - Mason FD is called in. PKI typically has 1 or 2 FF/Inspectors on-duty per day (based on attendance projections) and in the event of a larger fire, efforts are strictly life-safety oriented and acting as a liason with Mason. Even still, PKI has done a good job of prevention: nearly all structures are 100% sprinklered.

General Motors at Norwood is long gone, but they did have in-plant firefighting vehicles. I saw 2 Cushman type rigs in service there around 1970.
I'm not sure if GM-Norwood operated any other apparatus.
Also, Hueston Woods State Park at Oxford, Ohio had a pumper that they purchased new in the 1950's. I wonder if that rig is still around?

The Hilton Davis company (now BF Goodrich, I think) on Langdon Farm ran two pieces. They had an unknown make engine and a 1976 Yankee ambulance (former Golf Manor squad). I know their brigade had several members trained to Haz-Mat tech levels, due to some of the lethal substances with which they deal. There was a time up until about a year ago that you could see the engine and ambulance through the fence, near the gate on Langdon Farm closest to Elbrook Ave.

Mark,
Do you have any idea what the engine was at Hilton Davis? I was aware of the squad but not the engine. Is the rig still there and just moved to a different location at the plant?
