Just curious. Will newer rig like the current E-One's fit into the bays at some of the older, single bay stations like Engine 7, 50, or 51, or will different size rigs need to be purchased when it is time to replace the apparatus for those companies?

I don't know for sure about the E-Ones, but I do know that the 7's have used a Freightliner spare and it did fit in the bay - albeit with very little room to spare. I would think if the Ferraras fit, the E-One would as well.

The 50's still have an older Seagrave, with the back of the cab still open, because it's the only thing that will fit.

Considering the controversy that occurred with the Luvernes have any changes been made to the rig specifications? Apparently the Luverne's would have fit if built to the specified size, but I wondered if thismight have led to further review of the specs?

Revisiting an old topic! Does anyone know how the 50's are doing with an E One?

I was out there for a while and they do fine with the E-One. They have it set up where the get the truck most of the way into the bay then turn it so it sits in the middle of the bay. But if you look at it from the front you wonder how they did it, as it's not completely inside the width of the door. Know what I mean?
