The original fire station in Pleasant Ridge was apparently located about where the entrance to the golf course currently is on Losantiville Road. Has anyone ever read or seen a description of the building? Was it a portion of the Pleasant Ridge town hall, a free standing structure, wood hut with a thatched roof? Answers?

Steve,
This is something that I've been reseaching for some time and I still have yet to locate any photos (I live about a mile away in Golf Manor). I think that the 53's house was located a little closer to Montgomery, possibly across from Woodsfield.
Like I mentioned in another post, some of the history that I've read mentions that a volunteer fire company was housed at the Pleasant Ridge Town Hall on Ridge Rd. However, there is nothing on the building to indicate such (maybe they had a shed or frame garage out back). If I ever discover a photo, I'll be certain to let everyone else know...
I'd also like to see a photo of the 41's house....

Istarted thinking (no comments please) about the Pleasant Ridge Town Hall again. I should of thought of this on the original post! Antway, here is a picture of the town hall from about 1910. Nothing in the photo indicates the presence of the fire department (except that Bourbon hydrant). Looking at the rear of the building the grass isn't worn down like maybe there was a bay in the back. So, back to square one! ;D
