What: CREATION OF A GLASS FIRE LADDER TRUCK

The Art Academy of Cincinnati's River City Works will hold a glassblowing demonstration whereby a glass fire ladder truck will be created. The event will take place on Friday November 30th from 6:30-9:30 PM. The event is opened to the public. The River City Works crew led by Zachary Herrmann will produce the glass ladder truck, which will weigh approximately 30 pounds.
Fire Officials will be on hand at the event, as well as musical entertainment arranged by the Academy. Javier’s Mexican Restaurant will provide food and Refreshments: also the Academy’s annual student/staff chili cook-off will take place.
Arrangements are being made for the glass ladder truck to be gifted to the City of Cincinnati’s Fire Department during a future ceremony.
The media is encouraged to take photos and footage of the demonstration during its beginning; starting at 6:30 PM and near its completion between 8:30-9:30 PM.
