Hi all,
I friend of mine works for the Detroit Fire Department and the office next to him is the Retired Firefighters group. They sell shirts, hats and jackets with the proceeds going to support injured FF's and their families. I usually buy something each trip and feel the proceeds go to a good cause. Great gifts for friends.
Does CFD have a similar group? I've been to the fire museum by the city building and their selection is very small with no CFD logo items. Thanks for the info.

Good question. After I spent $1400 last spring on the shirts for the 24's and spent six months getting it all paid for, I don't think the wife is going to let that happen again for a while. However, we could probably have a few embroidered for a reasonable price at one of those shops in the malls. I'll look into it and see if anyone else is interested. If I had the money up front, what could she say? Mmmm...We need a design....

T-shirts, hats, etc. are very popular and we often have people show up at the March flea market that are looking to buy CFD related stuff. I'm not certain has to who actually has the shirts, etc. made up, but for a $10 table I don't think you can go wrong at the fire flea market....... ;D
