I was driving through Madeira this evening and went past their homecoming parade on Miami Ave. I noticed an old fire truck in line and when I drove past I discovered it was an old CFD REO hose wagon numbered for the 45's.
I was running late for work, so I was unable to stop to gather further details about the owner, etc... Did anyone know that this was still around?

All 3 of the 1952 Reo/Kelly Auto body Company hose wagons may still be around.
The one lettered for Engine 45 was restored by Bill Clark (I believe he lived in Colerain Township) around 20 years ago. No idea if he is still the owner. The other 2 have been seen and were in the hands of various private owners.
Does anyone have additional information about these?

Didn't former CFD Assistant Chief Schmoltz have one? I remember riding in it with my kids during a parade when he was running for city council.

I believe Whistleblower is correct that AC Schmoltz had (has?) one of the wagons. Buried in the back of my brain is some tidbit of information that one use to be stored on River Road at Murdock Foundry...
