O.K., it's obvious that the alarm assignments have been upgraded as of the this past Sunday. My question is this, are all boxes now 3 engines, 3 trucks, 2 chiefs, and a rescue unit (plus Squad 52 if they are assigned)?

What the CFD has done is added the RAT, Rescue Unit and Second DC on every report of a one alarm. This enables Fire Fighter Rescue to be implemented earlier. I don't think a third engine has been added to all boxes.

Hi Doug,
Thanks for the reply. I guess I just kept hearing 3 engine boxes this week! I did hear a couple dispatched today that were for 2 engines...

Hi!
This past week I was listening when a water flow alarm was dispatched. In the past few years the assignment on an alarm drop would have been an engine and a truck.
The box that I heard on Sunday evening was in Bond Hill and a full first alarm assignment was dispatched. There was no indication that a follow up call had been received indicating a fire. Is the 1st alarm assignment being sent on all water flow alarms now? Also, assuming that is the case have the assignments on any other responses been changed?
Thanks,
Steve

I worked on Tuesday and didn't hear any Full 1st alarm assignments being sent for alarm drops or water flows, just the usual 1 and 1 for bells. There might have been something extra that the dispatchers had that they didn't broadcast. Or it just might have been another error due to the new PMDC's and Dispatch Consoles.
