Three engines and two trucks have been delivered and are awaiting assignment. In a move that just makes me jump for joy the new deliveries have returned to a solid red paint scheme. One of the aerials is being assigned to Truck 24. I don't know where any of the other newbies are going at this time. I have been told that the 2019 apparatus budget allows for the purchase of two engines, two trucks, three ambulances and various staff cars.

The new Ladder24 and new Engine5 were in the opening day parade along with the old 5's. Going to take a little getting used to the new lettering and numbering. The CFD is now on the front door with numbers on the front corners of the cab. The 5's had engine 5 on the rear door, but the ladder didn't have anything on the rear doors. The truck isn't in service yet as I saw the older E-One still in the 24's quarters.I think they just wanted to show them to the city in the parade and still have more prep work.

After reading this post I'm horrified. After returning to red the lettering is messed with! I have yet to see a photo, but I don't think I'm going to like it.

O.K. - The lettering changes weren't as bad as I thought. It would have been nice to keep the company number on the front door of the apparatus as that is where it has always been located. So, the assignments for the 2019 E One rigs will be: Engines 5 - 32- 35 Trucks 2 - 24. I must say I do love the red paint job.

Thought I saw Engine 5 in their new E-One at this mornings (04-17-2019) tractor trailer entrapment. Can anyone confirm that it has been placed in service and if so, when. Thanks. Any word on Truck 24?

I saw the 5's on the news at the Eggleston ave accident scene, went past the 24's house today and they were still in their old apparatus. The other new truck was still in the 12's house earlier this week.

I was by the 24's house a couple of times in the last 2 weeks but everyone was gone when I drove past. I would have thought that the new ladders were in service too. Also, for anyone like me who wants to know everything - Engine 32 placed their new engine in service on May 4, 2019 and Engine 35 was involved in an accident on May 7, 2019 but I don't know if the engine was damaged.

I noticed that on the new E-Ones they went back to door mounted mirrors, I know from my 40 years of truck driving experience that these create blind spots especially with traffic coming from the right.Hope they don't create a problem with accidents.

Yes, I heard that it went in service last Friday. Does anyone know the status of Truck 2's new rig?

Seen an artimis picture of an accident on 75 south yesterday and it appears the 2's have their new truck in service. I noticed that truck 24 has the black CFD insignia on the doors now, which it didn't have when it was first pictured. I assume all the new E-ones have it and the 5's were or will be retro fitted?

I'm not aware of any other purchases at the moment. A couple of TDA's and an Aerialscope would make nice additions to the fleet along with a half dozen engines. Anyone have $5-6 million I can have and I'll make a call to Clintonville?
