Does anyone know the status of the Rosenbauer "Commander" that was delivered last year (glider rebuild from Engine 32's wrecked pumper)? Is it a spare, still being rotated between companies, or has it been assigned somewhere?

It's been assigned to Engine 35. There are 2 more gliders on order. Unknown which older apparatus is being used. Unknown when new apparatus will be spec'd or purchased. Probably not until a change in that area, unfortunately.

Thanks fo the information. Are the other 2 gliders going to be Rosenbauers?

The 2 additional gliders will be Rosenbauers. Not sure where the old 35s went

Noticed engine 17 has been in a spare for quite awhile, has their unit gone to be a glider donor vehicle

O.K. now I've heard that there are 3 Rosenbauers on the way, the previously mentioned 2 engines (which I've now been told are not gliders) and a rear mount aerial.

The aerial is on display at the FDIC in Indianapolis. It is numbered for Truck 3. I have heard that Engine 3 will receive the new engine with the shorter wheelbase.

If you look on the Rosenbauer Facebook page, they have a pictured of the aerial labeled for Ladder 3

All American fire facebook page has some pictures also. Nice looking unit, will they keep the polished aluminum wheels? Looks shorter than the E-one trucks.
