Would the east AMA outside of Hamilton co be either Beckjord or Zimmer CG&E power plants?

I ran with Miami Twp, Hamilton Co. from 86-91 and made numerous runs to Miami Fort, including fires. We used our normal mutual aid, especially Whitewater. CFD was never called. Based on what I heard from Pierce, it may be for HazMat.
Just checked with Pierce Twp about Beckjord. Cincinnati is AMA for major hazmat incidents, not initial response for fire.
A trivia question: what Hamilton Co. department was dispatched by the com center calling the local bar?

I don't know if the entire property is in the city limits or just part of the property, but I can confirm that CFD responds to Coney Island on the 1st Alarm with No response from Anderson.

volffemtp,
Actually, to be correct, Edgemont was dispatched by the Springfield Twp. PD by voice pager and then called the bar to set off their house siren. (The former Edgemont chief is a FF on Golf Manor FD).
Stay safe! Mark

Hi fellas, haven't posted in a while here. But this did raise my interest.
I work with ATFD and have made more than a few runs to Coney Island...usually Sunlite Pool. So far the info posted is pretty much right on.
Facing the front gate, everything to the right (west) is Cincinnati; to the left (east) is Anderson. ATFD covers the pool, parking lots, Riverbend, River Downs, and so forth. The City covers 'Old Coney', Moonlight Gardens, etc, etc. However, I've made more than a few runs that have ended up being in the City. Usually, it's a drunk that staggered across the line coming from Riverbend.
It mostly depends on who makes the call as to who responds: Riverbend goes to HCCC; Coney Security, HCCC; Cell phone, HCCC; Old Coney phones go to the City.
Fortunately, the 10's and the 7's play well together and often cross paths down by the river. I-275 near Kellogg is another area where both companies meet frequently.
As a side bit of trivia, for more than a few years the 7's have carried a ATFD 'hi-band' radio in their rig. That makes the whole "We've got it/you're closer" discussion much easier to handle as opposed to communicating through 2 dispatch centers.

The Reserve of Turpin off of Clough Pike in Anderson Township (Engine 7's first Due) Actually, once you've crossed the bridge over the creek, you're back in the City. The only route there is through the Township, though.

Egon,
Thanks for the info. I'm not very familiar with that area. Do you guys (ATFD) have the Kellogg & Sutton intersection?

Egon, Thanks for the info. I'm not very familiar with that area. Do you guys (ATFD) have the Kellogg & Sutton intersection? As I understand it, the line runs right through the middle of the intersection (in-line with the centerline of the Sutton Rd.). So depending on who makes the call, you could see one department or the other...or both.

This may help clear things up ref the east side automatic aid. The Reserves of Turpin is inside the city limits so it would make sense that E-7 is first due. Secondly River Downs is in Anderson Township and Anderson does all the transports. As far as Coney Island, if you go down the main drive everything to the left of the drive is in Anderson "pool area" , everything to the right is the City "picnic shelters ect.".

Actually, we're all Firefighter/Paramedics on ATFD. We've got to do both out in the 'burbs. Each house has an engine (or quint) and a medic transport unit. We rotate assignments each shift. However, we still carry our fire gear, SCBAs, and irons on the medic.

Turning the question around, does CFD use any surrounding departments for automatic mutual aid? If so, which alarm is it on, 1st, 2nd, etc? Thanks.
