Saw a new ambulance unit on a run earlier today. Got that new big chrome Ford grill, otherwise looks the same.

Was going north on 75 in Dayton the morning and a new transport unit heading south. It was built on a Chevrolet van chassis. I knew Ford was no longer being supplied diesel engines from International and was wondering what the city would be ordering. Looks like this answers the question. It was completely lettered and looked ready for service.

Their are pictures of three remounts on the Lifestar Rescue website. I actually like the look of the Chevy, well see what everybody else thinks

This is a stock model, purchased new from Horton. You'll notice the side door opens instead of sliding, and there are some other features inside that are different. Purchased due to mechanical issues with transport units, and the wreck involving M17

No more remounts from Life Star. That company has gone out of business.
