The 1980 Seagrave ladder truck used by the Training Bureau is now at the Bates Ave. lot to be sold. Maybe old truck 3 will be assigined to the Training Bureau?

According to the city web site, the hook & ladder truck you speak of was not auctioned in July or scheduled for August. It is still in the yard as of 8/04/02.

The auction information for September is not available on the Fleet Services site, but the ex-St. Matthews tiller has been moved to the front of the lot. Looks like it will be sold at the next auction.

The 1980 Seagrave aerial (ex-St Matthews Ky) is scheduled for the September 14 auction. There is also a 1946 Howe 500 gpm trailer pump being sold (never knew the city owned that!). For additional information visit this link: Fleet Services. Also, should anyone attend the auction I would really appreciate it if you could locate the Howe serial number plate and obtain the serial number and model designation for the trailer pump. It will be a 4 digit number that begins with a 7 and should be on a small rectangular metal tag. Thanks!

The Seagrave aerial is sitting on Spring Grove Avenue at the used truck equipment place in Northside...
