Saw on the E-One website that the 2 new engines are just about complete.A few changes on this model. Went back to the forward mounted mirror on the right side, door handles resemble the type on the Rosenbauers. Also went to swing doors on the side and rear compartments and the headlights are mounted lower with what appears to be a long thin turn signal mounted above them.

When you say swing doors, are you talking traditional doors? Any word on what companies will get the new engines and who will get the new truck?

Traditional doors. Just looked on the website and the graphics are applied to the first engine and it's going to the 35's.These are the Typhoon class engines and not Cyclone class. Looks like windshield and sight line differences.

Not sure how to add pictures, but I see the 51's are getting the other engine. With the budget problems these might be the last new ones for awhile. I did see 5 new garbage trucks at the dealer this week.

The engine the 35's have now is barely a year old, why are they getting a new one so soon?

Hope they don't paint the rims flat black on the new one like they did the old one.

I see the 31's got the old 2019 E-One that was assigned to the 35's, rims repainted red. Also heard on the scanner that the 51's were involved in an accident yesterday at North Bend and Hamilton ave. Are new apparatus naturally attracted to accidents, or are they harder to see because they are all red.

E-One has just started construction of a new ladder for CFD. SSO number is 143400 if you want to watch the progress on their website

Don't know who will be getting it, but just looked at the E-One in process website and it appears it's going to be a tandem truck. 17's and 19's are the oldest trucks in service, one of them will probably be in line for it.

Just looked at the E-One website and they updated the body weld pictures and it shows a single axle body, they apparently uploaded the wrong pictures last week.

Was their new apparatus damaged that bad that it's still in the shop?
