Went back by the folling day and it was definitely the 12's, and the 9's new apparatus parked in the extra bay. Went by yesterday and a new apparatus 11671 was in the extra bay, didn't see a number on the door. The 12's #11670, ? 11671, 9's 11672, 38's 11673. Maybe they added to the original order after the 32's totaled their E- one.

There is a photo of a new engine for CFD posted on Rosenbauer's website - in the new deliveries section. It appears to have most of the graphics applied except for the company number. The cab is one of the newer Rosenbauer styles.

The cab is one of the newer Rosenbauer styles. I was really surprised to see this. The rig shown is a glider rebuild using the E-One that was assigned to Engine 32 which was destroyed in the accident. The plan is to rotate this engine to several companies to get some feedback on it.

The gliders use new frame and chassis, but the original engine and transmission, rebuilt and warrantied. This means no exhaust emission problems to contend with. Many trucking companies are doing this with their equipment, using late 90's or early 2000 drivelines. They are titled as 2013's. The rosenbauer page shows this new engine with the 500 horse Detroit, which I believe is what the original e-ones had.

It was sitting in the extra door at the 12's yesterday. I also see where truck 18 has one of the new Rosenbauers now, not sure who it was previously assigned to, but I'm guessing the 20's.

I was told the 20's sent back the Rosenbauer and took an E-One back. Sounds like no one cares for the Rosenbauer ladders

Seen truck 17 back in their rosenbauer yesterday up at Mt Echo park. Looked like they were trying out all the aerial controls. They had been in a spare for quite awhile. Also noticed that the 20's are back in their rosenbauer truck. Did these go back to the manufacturer to have the bugs worked out of them?

There is a photo of a new (rebuilt) CFD engine on Rosenbauer's website. It is listed as a "glider" . . . so not entirely new.

I wonder what apparatus was rebuilt. It wasn't the one that was originally engine 20 then engine 3. The 21s changed out of that apparatus the other day

I was out on Kemper rd yesterday and passed Clarke diesel and the new engine was in the service bay, still hadn't been numbered and lettered.

Rode by the garage this morning and saw a new engine numbered with the 17's.The 3's old apparatus was at Clarke diesel the week before last, must be using it as a spare.
