Heard a rumor that several new engines have been ordered. Does anyone have details (assuming this is true). If it's merely a rumor, can we make up something really good? ;D

I have heard now from a couple of different sources that Cincinnati has ordered, or is in the process of ordering, 4 pumper trucks and 3 ladder trucks from Rosenbauer. The ladder trucks are to be of smaller size than the previous order due to space constraints in some of the older fire houses. This information still has not been officially confirmed, but I think it seems fairly certain at this point.

Had a chance to check out what is on order as of yesterday. There are 3 engines at Rosenbauer that should be having their pre-delivery inspections next week. There is no other apparatus on order at this time. Now, let us all chant "We want a red tilller"......

I drove by Fleet Services about a half hour ago, and there was a new engine sitting out back. John Hi John! Yep, all 3 have arrived. One is supposed to be assigned to Engine 12 (since their 1st line was wrecked) probably Engine 32 (since their 1st line was wrecked) and the third will be a surprise (at least to me). Steve

Engine 12's 2009 Spartan - General Safety (Rosenbauer) Shop #81670 was damaged in an accident on Westwood Northern BLVD near Beekman/Hopple St on October 27, 2011. It is unknown when it will return to service.

Drove by the garage earlier today and the 12's were in their new apparatus,11670. Don't care for the blue cincinnati insignia inside the white stripe on the front doors. Also saw the 12's old rosenbauer being driven down spring grove ave, didn't appear to have any damage, must've been repaired from the accident. I assume that it will be handed down to the 37's since they are in one of the older e-one's.

Bob had the correct guess on this one, I spotted the former E12 (81670) marked as E32 today. They were on a call so the truck is in service.

12's got a new one. Old 12's went to the 32's. 2 other new engines are going to E38 and E2. Blue Cincinnati city logo is being applied to apparatus at the insistence of the City

Saw a new Rosenbauer engine sitting outside the garage today, 11672, Engine 9. Must have got at least 4. The 12's new engine was in service at their quarters, along with another new engine which I couldn't make out any numbers on. 21's are in an E-one spare. The body are between the passenger side doors on the Engine 9 appeared to be either red primer or a very dull red finish, really stood out.
