I would appreciate hearing about the delivery of any new rigs in the Cincinnati area. For example, Hamilton Township at Maineville recently received a Sutphen pumper in a black over red paint job. This rig has a 1500 gpm pump, 750 gallon tank, and 25 gallon foam tank. Post 'em if you've got 'em.....

The Hamilton Twp rig was on display at FDIC this year.
Other trucks I saw include a new pumper for Indian Hill/Maderia which I've forgot the specs on. Miami Twp (Clermont County) had thier new Spartan/Luverne platform on display, but was sent back to the factory after the truck was overweight BEFORE any equipment was added. Oops! I haven't seen it parked in the station yet.

Here's more information about the new Luverne Pumper recently put into service by Miami Township (Clermont County). It is built on a Spartan Gladiator chassis with a 10 inch raised roof and roll-up compartment doors. It features a 1500 GPM Waterous pump with a top-mounted pump panel. It carries 500 gallons of water and has a Hypro Foampro 200 system.
On another matter...I checked Luverne's website today and 3 of thr 4 returned CFD pumpers are still listed as available. The fourth returned unit has been sold to the McCook, Ill. Fire Department.

Yes, it's true. It passed me on U.S. 50. They have had it for a short while. I don't have any additional info yet.
It looked like it was no more than a 75 footer, but I can't say for sure.

I had a chance to see Miami Township's new Spartan/Luverne Saturday night as it was on display at the Township's "Midsummers at the Meadows" festival. It's really a stunning engine to look at at it seems to be loaded with features. It looks like the truck is set up with two small foam tanks, dual light towers (fold down)on the driver's side, fold down ladder (hydraulic) on the officer's side, 2" receivers (looks like a trailer hitch) mounted on each side to accept a winch. From the Miami Township newsletter the price was $380,000 not including equipment. The truck has not been outfitted yet.

Both trucks were on display today (7/21) at the Clermont County Parade.

A handfull of new trucks were on display at the Sharonville Fireman's Festval tonight (7/26).
Blue Ash has a 2002 Pierce Dash, top mount Rescue-Pumper. Pump size is 2000 gpm.
Fairfield Twp has a 2002 Sutphen Quint (Quint 11). It's a 70 ft platform with a 1500 gpm pump.
West Chester brought out their new Sutphen, but the truck did not stay around after the parade so info on it. I believe it was on display in Sutphen's new delivery section within their website.
Loveland-Symmes had their new Sutphen 100 ft Platform in the parade. Pump size is 2000 gpm. I'm not sure if the truck is considered a 2001 or 2002. Build date is 12/2001 with delivery being 01/2002.

Both Fairfax/ Madison place and Mariemont have ordered new engines. Fairfax bought a demo that was at FDIC last year, and should be here in October. And Mariemont, order a custom, that will arrive sometime next year.
