I've seen the E-150's at Winton Hill as well. I was parked next to one a couple of weeks ago and from what I could tell it looked like rescue equipment was carried on board. I did not have enough time to ask some questions as I was running late for a meeting and by the time I was finished the van was gone.

The Hamilton County Fair does operate a 1989 Chevrolet-Knapheide, four-door, crew cab, utility type fire apparatus. The unit was converted from a CG&E shop truck by North College Hill Auto-Body in 2001. It is equipped with a 110 gpm pump and 300 gallon tank. It is staffed by Hamilton County firefighters during the fair.

I spoke with one of their ERT members a few days ago. Their pumper has been refitted and is back in service. It's a 1000 GPM Ford cab-over (C-8000 chassis I believe). They also have a 350 GPM mini-pumper on some sort of small specialty chassis.

Hi,
Does anyone know what the Fairgrounds has in the way of apparatus at this point? I was told they were buying a full sized pumper and an aerial from somewhere in Kentucky (not sure if this is 2 vehicles being purchased from the same department).
Have these rigs been received? Are they equipped, lettered, and in-service at this time? Sure would like to know!!
Steve
