The CFD History Volume 2 will also contain a chapter detailing the duties and hisory of the Salvage Corps. If anyone has any information or photos concerning them, please drop me a line. Of particular interest to me would be a photo of station 2 at Bernard & Lowery Sts. when it was in use by the Corps.

I sure would like to see some replies concerning the Corps and the History Book in general! Remember, even if you only have one photo or document, it could be useful to the book committee! Start digging in the basements and closets!
Thanks!!!

I was lucky enough to pick up a couple of Salvage Corps photos at the fire flea market on the 9th! I know they're out there! Please see what you can loan the History Book Committe for use!

Yeah, yeah, I know I'm always on here begging for pictures, and here I go again! Does anyone have pictures of any of the staff cars that were used by the Salvage Corps? I'm pretty sure that I found photos of every truck that they had, but the cars have eluded me. Anyone out there that can help!

He was part of the salvage corp. back in the early 60's or 70's, just a guest let me ask my dad but i'm not for sure on that. If you want to get a hold of him because he might have pics. just let me know and i'll let my dad talk to him and i'll let you know where to contact him at.

George,
I have 2 identical books of the salvage corp. They look like they were from the 50s or earlier. One is still in the box. They are cloth covered and in great shape. They were my father's (Charles J "Charlie" Schuster). They may have been his father's (Charles F Schuster). When I find them I'll let you know.
